James Persky, MD - Endovascular and Vascular Surgeon

James M. Persky MD., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Persky is a native of Cleveland with a rich medical background well grounded in the area. His father was the professor of Urology at University Hospital. Dr. Persky went to Stanford University undergraduate and CWRU for medical school. His general surgery training was also at CWRU. He completed a two-year vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Cincinnati and then returned to Cleveland to begin his practice. He is board certified in general and vascular surgery as well as a fellow in the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Persky is married and spends his free time with his wife and four children.

We are pleased to provide care for arterial disease, venous disease, aortic aneurysms, peripheral aneurysms, lower extremity ischemia and gangrene, claudication, carotid disease for TIA and stroke prevention, lymphedema and venous disease including varicose veins. We provide conventional vascular surgery including carotid endarectomy, lower extremity bypass, aneurysm surgery, vein stripping and dialysis access procedures. We are also pleased to offer the highest level of endovascular surgery including diagnostic arteriography, angioplasty and stenting, as well as cryotherapy angioplasty, subintimal angioplasty, thrombolytic therapy including use of the Angiojet, remote endarectomy, carotid stenting, atherectomy using the Silverhawk as well as other procedures.
